In short
A public, active event appears in Near you for people whose area includes its venue. On the web, each event in your Events list has three controls: Public or Private, In Discover or Not in Discover, and Request to feature. Featured events are chosen by Linxy.

Public or Private
Public lists the event in Discover and Near you while it’s active and hasn’t ended. Private keeps it to the people you share it with. The other two controls appear only for public, active events.
In Discover
Puts your host video and your Mark’s featured content in the From Linxy events row. It’s on by default for public events; switch it to Not in Discover to keep the event listed without the videos.
Request to feature
Asks Linxy to feature the event at the top of Discover; you can add a note. The button then reads Feature requested. If it’s approved you’ll see Featured until and the date; if not, Last request declined with Linxy’s reason, and you can ask again.
The venue address
Near you measures distance from the event’s venue address, so use a full street address. An address Linxy can’t place on a map still saves, but the event can then be found only by people looking Anywhere.
Symptoms, causes and fixes
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| No Discover controls on your event | It’s private, a draft, or ended | Make it Public and active |
| People nearby can’t find it | The venue address couldn’t be placed | Edit the event with a full street address |
| It’s listed but has no video | No host video, Not in Discover, or your Mark’s content isn’t a video or photo | Switch In Discover on. The row shows a host video, or your Mark’s featured content when it’s a video or photo |
