In short
Some communities print photos that can be scanned. The photo looks like any other print, but it carries an invisible Linxy Mark. Point the Linxy App at the paper print and the photo opens in the community’s album, where you can see who posted it, react, comment and find the rest of the pictures.

How to scan it
Open the Linxy App — it opens straight into scanning — and hold the phone over the print. Most prints are made to be read from about an arm’s length or closer; if the bar along the bottom carries the Mark, point the camera at the bar. Keep the print flat and well lit, and hold still for a moment.
Where it takes you
The scan opens that photo’s post in the community album, unless the host chose a different destination for scans (such as the community feed or the invitation page). If you aren’t a member yet, you can look around and join. Everything stays inside the Linxy App.
Telling a scannable print apart
You usually can’t, and that is the point. Many scannable prints have a branding bar along the bottom with the occasion’s name, and some carry a small Linxy element. Not every print from a community is scannable — the host decides — and a print that came out plain, with white where the bar would be, is a normal print that won’t scan.
Symptoms, causes and fixes
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Nothing happens | Too far away, glare, or moving | Move closer, tilt to avoid reflections, hold still |
| Nothing happens on a bar print | The camera is on the photo, not the bar | Point at the bar along the bottom |
| Still nothing | That print wasn’t marked | Find the photo in the community album instead |
| A different page opens | The host chose a different destination for scans | That page is what the host intended |
