In short
A landing page is a page Linxy hosts for one purpose: a pet tag, a lost-and-found tag, a gift message, a recipe, a lot record, a safety data sheet, a reorder label, an offer. Each one has its own short link (Dynamic Link) for a Linxy Mark, an NFC tag or anywhere you share links. In the Linxy App, tap Create and choose Landing page under Or build a page. Pick a starter, answer a few questions, and Linxy makes the page. The page stays hidden until you publish it.
On this page
Making a landing page
- Tap Create on the Home screen. Below Or build a page, tap Landing page. My landing pages opens.
- Tap New (or Make my first landing page) and choose a starter from Start from.
- Answer the starter’s questions. Most have three to five, such as your pet’s name and your phone, or the product and lot number. Questions marked (optional) can be left empty.
- Tap Make my page. The builder opens with the page already filled in.
You can also start from the TouchPoint Purpose step of the Create wizard. Choosing a purpose such as Pet ID tag, Text page, Menu or Lot and provenance opens the same setup with that starter already picked.
Landing pages and bio pages count toward the same page limit on your plan.
The starters
| Starter | What you get |
|---|---|
| Landing page | A cover with a headline and button, and a block of formatted text |
| Text page | A short cover and a formatted page of copy: notices, instructions, a story |
| Pet ID tag | “Hi, I’m …” with your pet’s photo, Message my owner, and facts a finder needs. Keep your number private and finders reach you through Linxy |
| Lost and found | For keys, bags, laptops and cameras: “You found …”, a way to message you, and an optional reward |
| Luggage tag | “This bag belongs to …”, a way to message you, and details of the bag |
| Gift message | A photo and your note, from you to them |
| Keepsake and memory | The story behind a photo, an heirloom or a memorial |
| Emergency contacts | Who to call, with Call and Text buttons, and notes for responders. Consider Password or Only people I invite for anything private |
| Home inventory | What is in a box, shelf or room |
| Recipe card | Serves, time, ingredients and numbered steps |
| Menu | Sections of dishes with prices |
| Lead capture form | An offer, what people get, and a short form. Answers come to your Replies |
| Lot and provenance | The batch on the label: lot number, date made, origin, the journey and certificate PDFs |
| Safety data sheet | The current SDS for what is in the container, emergency numbers and every earlier revision |
| Reorder or replenish | Quantities with prices, a reorder button that opens your store, a reminder and how to replace it |
Sample rows that need your details, such as an empty fact, stay off the page until you fill them in.
The builder
Landing pages use the same builder, themes and blocks as bio pages, with three differences:
- There is no profile header (photo, name and social icons). A landing page opens with its Cover instead.
- The Blocks tab starts with Page name. Only you see the name, in your list. Visitors see the Cover.
- There is no Social tab, and the Sticky button panel sits under the page name.
Every change saves right away. Tap the eye to preview, and Publish when it is ready.
Page sections
Add a block lists a Page sections group first. These blocks work on bio pages too.
| Block | What it does |
|---|---|
| Cover | A full-width photo with a small label, a headline, a line of text and a button. With no photo it uses the theme’s colors. Short or Tall, text on the left or centered |
| Formatted text | Write with light formatting: ## Heading, **bold**, *italic*, lines starting with - or 1. for lists, and [words](https://link) for links. Show on a card puts it on a panel |
| Section | A tinted band with a title, text, a photo on either side and an optional button |
| Feature list | Short points with check marks, dots or stars |
| Facts list | Label and value rows: size, date, origin. Rows with no value stay hidden |
| Steps | Numbered steps for recipes, setup or care |
| Contact row | Call, Text, Email, Directions and Website buttons |
| Message the owner | A private message, a photo and where they are. No number shown (see below) |
| Documents | PDF buttons: certificates, manuals, spec sheets. A document shows once its PDF is added |
| Safety data sheet | The current SDS, emergency numbers and earlier revisions (see below) |
| Reorder | Quantities, a reorder button, a reminder and quote requests (see below) |
A button can open a web address, a phone number, or a place on the same page: #message opens Message the owner, #form opens the page’s form, and #steps opens its Steps.
Message the owner
On a pet, lost-and-found or luggage page, the finder taps Message my owner and writes what happened. Depending on the block’s settings they can also add a photo, add where they are, and say how to reach them.
- You get a push on your phone, and the message appears under Replies on the page’s share screen, with Open the map and the photo
- Your phone number is never shown unless you add a Contact row. The Pet ID, Lost and found and Luggage starters leave it off when Keep my number private is on
- The finder’s location is sent once, with the message. It is not tracked
- A visitor can send up to five messages an hour to one page
Lot records, safety data sheets and reorder labels
Lot and provenance
Answer the product, lot number, date made and origin, and add certificate PDFs if you have them. The page shows the batch at the top, This batch facts, The journey as steps, and a button for each certificate. Fill in the journey and best-by date in the builder.
Safety data sheet
Choose the current SDS PDF, its revision number and date. Workers who scan or tap the container get a large Open the current SDS button, the revision and date, emergency call buttons, At a glance facts, and the earlier revisions.
- A new revisionOpen the page in the builder, tap the Safety data sheet block, pick the new PDF under New revision (PDF), and enter its revision number, date and what changed. Tap Save block.
- What happensEvery label already in the field opens the new revision right away. The one before it moves to Earlier revisions, with its dates, so you keep the record.
Reorder or replenish
Add the product, your store link and how many months a refill lasts. In the builder, open the Reorder block to set the quantities and prices.
- Put
{qty}in the store link where the quantity goes, if your store supports it, or give each quantity its own link - Remind me in N months downloads a calendar reminder to the visitor’s phone. Nothing to sign up for
- Turn on Let businesses request a quote to add a form for quantity, name, company and contact. Requests come to your Replies with a push
The sticky button
A sticky button stays at the bottom of the screen while people scroll. In the builder, under Sticky button, type the button text and what it opens, then turn on Keep a button on screen. The Lead capture form starter turns one on for you.
Copies and the next lot
- Make a copy of this page, under Settings, makes a new page with the same blocks, photos and design at a new address. It stays hidden until you publish it. This works for bio pages too.
- On a Lot and provenance page, Start the next lot at the top of the Blocks tab asks for the new lot number and date, copies everything, and swaps them in. Labels already printed keep opening their own lot.
Copies get their own copies of photos and PDFs, so deleting one page never breaks another.
Publish, share and put it on a touchpoint
Tap Publish. The share screen offers the link, New Linxy Mark and Write to an NFC tag, and lists the page’s Replies. To change who can open the page, use Settings (password) or the record’s access settings. To prove a product is genuine, point Verified authentic tags at the page.
