In short
My Linxy has two tabs. Marks lists the Linxy Marks you own, plus any Mark you have favorited, with favorites at the top. Links lists your Dynamic Links, including Linxy Tags. From either tab you can open an item, change where it leads, write it to an NFC tag, and switch notifications on for it.
The thing that trips people up is that the App has a separate list that also looks like a collection of scanned things. My Linxy lives on the platform and follows your account. Your scan history is a record of things you scanned, and it lives only on your phone.

Two lists, and how to tell them apart
The Marks and Links tabs
The App remembers which tab you used last. One search box serves both tabs; it searches whichever tab is open, and what you typed carries over when you switch.
| Marks | Links | |
|---|---|---|
| What is listed | Marks you own, plus Marks you have favorited. Favorites sit at the top | Your Dynamic Links, including Linxy Tags, which carry a TAG badge |
| Each row shows | Name and description, the last five digits of the Mark’s ID, its click count, and the date | The label (or Unnamed link), the short code, its click count, and the date |
| Search | Search creations — by name or description | Search labels, codes, destinations |
| Filters | None | All, Web, Files, Media, Linxy Tags |
| Tap | The name opens the full sheet of actions; the heart favorites or unfavorites it | The name or icon opens the link; the rest of the row, or the more button, opens the sheet |
Anything you open from My Linxy opens inside the Linxy App, never in your phone’s browser.
This is the quiet argument for naming items properly at creation. A list of rows all called after the source filename is unusable within a month, and the fix is tedious. Name them as though a colleague has to find one in six months.
What each item offers
| Marks tab sheet | Links tab sheet |
|---|---|
| Share — share or print the scannable Mark image | Share — copy or share the link |
| Update — update or change the content | Update — change the name or where it goes |
| Content & playback — the Mark’s items, its playlist, thumbnails and how viewers see them. Only on Marks you own | |
| Transfer — the code to transfer this Mark to another user | QR Code — the code for this link, ready to share. It shows the link’s existing code and never makes a new one |
| NFC Tag — encode a tag that opens this Mark | NFC Tag — encode a tag that opens this link |
| Linxy Editor — the full web editor, inside the App | Linxy Editor — the full web editor, inside the App |
| Invite Members — only on a secured Mark | |
| Notifications — on or off for this Mark | Notifications — on or off for this link |
On a Mark you favorited but do not own, the sheet offers only what makes sense for someone else’s Mark. A secured Mark shows a shield icon on its row; whether it is secured is set in the Linxy Editor.
What you can change from here
| Editable for the life of the item | Fixed at creation |
|---|---|
| Where it leads | The marked image itself |
| Name and description | The tuning the signal was embedded with |
| Whether it is protected, and who is invited | The identity the signal carries |
| Notifications and favorite |
For a link, Update opens a short edit screen: Label, Points to, Content display (Auto, Portrait or Landscape) and Save changes. Below it, Open this link’s web editor reaches analytics, routing rules, geofencing and custom domains, and Delete this link sits under Danger. Deleting asks first, because anything already printed or written that points at the link stops working.
That split is the whole reason a Linxy Mark is worth printing. The picture is permanent; everything about what it does is not. A campaign can end, a manual can be revised, a page can move, and the object in somebody's hand keeps working.
Finding one item among many
- Search on each tab — on Marks by name or description, on Links by label, code or destination. Only as good as the names you gave them.
- Favorites for the ones you return to constantly.
- Filters on the Links tab, to narrow to web addresses, files, media or Linxy Tags.
- The console when you need to work by client or project, or act on many items at once. The App lists your items; it is not the place to reorganize hundreds of them.
Symptoms, causes and fixes
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Something you scanned is not on the Marks tab | The Marks tab lists Marks you own, plus Marks you favorited | Favorite it from scan history and it appears here |
| The list stops loading part way | It pages as you scroll | Keep scrolling. If it stalls, check the connection |
| An item you own is missing | Created under a different account, or on someone else's account entirely | Check which account is signed in. Ownership can also have been transferred away |
| You changed the destination and an old copy still opens the old page | Almost always a cached page rather than a stale Mark | Force a refresh. The Mark itself updates immediately |
| Scan history is empty on a new phone | Scan history lives only on the phone where you scanned | Anything you favorited is on the Marks tab, which follows your account |
| No notifications despite the switch being on | Notification permission is off at the phone level | Enable notifications for the App in your phone's settings |
| You want to retune a Mark that will not scan | Tuning is fixed in the image at creation | Create a replacement. Only the destination and rules are editable |
