In short
The reply always asks whether a guest is coming and how many are in their party. Everything else is a question you switch on — meals, days, seating, a dish to bring, and more. Any question you switch on can also be made Required: guests can’t send their reply until it’s answered, and the server checks it too, so it can’t be skipped.

The answers
Guests choose between your two reply buttons — for example Joyfully accepts and Regretfully declines — and you can add a third, Watching online, for guests who will follow along remotely. You share the stream link yourselves. Every guest who is coming says how many are in their party, up to the seats you hold for that invitation; you can ask for adults and children separately.
The questions you can ask
| Question | How guests answer |
|---|---|
| Names of each guest | A name for everyone coming |
| Which days or parts | Pick from the days you list |
| Meal choice | One choice per guest, from the options you list |

| Seating wishes | “Seat us near…” |
| Bring a dish | Pick a category you list, with an optional limit per category; full categories close |
| Lend a hand | Sign up for the shifts you list |
| Childcare | How many children need care |
| T-shirts | How many of each size you list |

Guests can also leave an optional note for the hosts.
Required questions
On the web, tick Required beside any switched-on question in Reply questions. In the Linxy App, open Questions and tick Required under the question. Guests see the question marked required, and the Linxy App tells them what’s missing before they can go on.
| Rule | Why |
|---|---|
| Questions about coming (names, days, meals, dietary needs, seating, a dish, shifts, childcare, T-shirts) are skipped when a guest says they can’t come | No one has to plan a meal for an event they’ll miss |
| Names and meals are asked only of guests coming in person, not of guests watching online | They aren’t at the table |
| Childcare can’t be required | “None” is always a valid answer |
Who can reply, and until when
Guest list only: only people on your list can reply; anyone else is asked to contact you. Anyone with the link: anyone who opens the Occasion’s link can reply and is added to your list. School & sports invitations are always guest list only, and their replies are seen by the organizers only.
Set a Reply by date and replies close after it; guests can change their reply until then. You can also stop replies at any time with Stop replies.
Seeing the replies
The Replies tab shows the totals — coming, watching online, not coming, waiting — and each guest’s answers. Export CSV downloads everything, including a column with each guest’s reply details.
