In short
A playlist can hold web pages alongside videos, audio and photos. Add a page by its address; Linxy reads the page’s title and image and shows them in the list. In the Linxy App the page opens full screen inside the App with no address bar, so its address is never displayed.

Adding a page
- In the App: Content & playback, then Web page at the bottom of the Content screen. Paste the page address and tap Add. Linxy reads the title and image from the page.
- On the web: add the address on its own line in the editor’s Destination URL(s) box and click Update Linxy Mark. The page then appears in the Playlist section.
Pages count toward the two items a playlist needs, and they can be reordered, renamed and removed like any other item.
What the list tells you about a page
| The row says | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Reading the page… | Linxy is fetching the title and image. This usually takes a moment |
| Page · title and image from the page | Both came from the page |
| Page · title from the page (no image) | The page provides no share image, so viewers see a globe tile with the Mark’s name |
| Page · your image | You uploaded the thumbnail |
| Can’t reach this page · check the address | Linxy could not load the page on repeated checks. Check the address, or whether the site is down |
| Link | An address that is not a web page. It stays on the Mark but is not shown in the playlist |
Keeping pages current
Linxy reads each page again about once a week, so a new title or image on the page reaches your list on its own. To update right away, tap the item’s more button and Refresh from the page in the App, or tick Refresh from the page when I update on the page’s row in the web editor and click Update Linxy Mark. A title or image you set yourself is kept.
What viewers see
| In the Linxy App | In a browser | |
|---|---|---|
| The page opens | Full screen, inside the App, with only the items button added | As an ordinary page, when the playlist is shown on browser scans |
| Its address | Never shown: the App has no address bar | Shown in the browser’s own address bar, as for any page |
| Play all and Shuffle | Play the videos, audio and photos; a page opens when tapped. With Include web pages on, each page takes its turn and stays up for the time you set (20 sec unless you change it) | A page opens when tapped, whatever the setting |
Include web pages and Show each page for are in Playback for viewers in the App and in the web editor’s Playlist section. A page that is taking its turn moves on when its time is up, even if someone is reading it, so choose a time that suits the page. For a page people should read at their own pace, leave the setting off.
Marks that use URL Shielding show only their videos, audio and photos in a browser. To keep a page off browsers entirely, set the Mark to Linxy App only.
